Where is the mirror to see the present? I'll find it in time. Time marches. I have no choice but to pick up my feet. I have places to be. Hands to cover in dirt. I wash my hands. I walk to dry my hands in the heat of the sun. I repeat. Time stands still for the walking man. I walk when I see the walk sign. I wash my hands. I walk to dry my hands.

These are my places. I close my eyes and these are my places. My hands. The dirt that covers my hands. I wash my hands. I walk to dry my hands. Where is the heat? My hands aren't dry. The sun. My feet. My wet, wrinkled hands. 

I have no choice but to pick up my feet. I walk to find the sun. To find the heat. I have new places to be. Dirt under my fingernails. I walk past a walk sign I never see. Time marches for this walking man. I walk when I see this walk sign. In time, I find the mirror. I dry my hands in the sun. Now, I can wash my hands. I repeat.

## Context

I am at home in San Francisco. My city takes care of me. I walk everyday. These streets clear my head like no other. I greet the beautiful parks, say hello to the tags on the concrete, climb the trees, swing on the traffic light poles, hop from bollard to bollard. Everyday. I repeat. But in time like clockwork, I fail to process what my eyes see. I need to open my eyes.

While visiting friends in Mexico City in 2024, I was greeted by new parks with new trees to climb and new streets with new bollards to hop. But what opened my eyes was not just a new traffic pole to swing on. What caught my eye and jacked them open was the peppy, energetic walk man vigorously running from pixel to pixel to alert me it’s safe to cross. This was a walk man I’ve never encountered in San Francisco. This is the man I needed to meet. I now see what my eyes see. I needed to bring him back home. 

We designed the Synthia Walk Light to capture the spark of travel. Our walk man will dance to your music when you need him too. He doesn’t have to be a walk man either. The Walk Light will be what you need to see.
